Selbymania Begins!

Yes as I am sure you all have heard, Josh Selby will be eligible to play December 18, 2010. I really hope you are all as excited as I am about this! This means a couple of things that I have theories about. Take them for what they are; theories. The first is that yes Selby will dominate at the point guard position and yes that will move us from a 23-27 game winning team to the 27+ range which is great! I also believe that this means Selby, unless he has a spectacular March and April, will be sticking around for another year! Let's be honest, he is missing some high profile match-ups that can determine what kind of player he can be in the NBA. He will be missing Memphis, UCLA and Arizona. His first game back will be USC and even then he won't get much p/t because he is not ready for the high levels quite yet. He will need to have a phenomenal tourney to even turn the heads of scouts and project him in next year's draft. He will also be battling with Tyshawn Taylor for the "go-to" assist man and that's tough since Tyshawn has been averaging seven assists a game! This team, come December 18, is going to be a lot more fun to watch as if they weren't already. I am so excited, I feel like Derek Zoolander on opening day of the Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good!
